The leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a historic peace agreement at the White House, facilitated by President Trump, to end decades of conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. Both President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia committed to cease all fighting "forever" and open diplomatic, business, and travel relations between their countries. The agreement includes plans for a major transit corridor connecting Azerbaijan to its Nakhchivan exclave through Armenian territory, which will be named the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.
